Journey of Wellness

Cameron Ashley from Journey of Wellness is a wholistic health coach, counsellor and personal trainer providing a safe and supportive space to explore authentic health solutions with his clients.

From the very beginning of the creative brief, Cameron had noted that he was drawn to designs that had visual impact, especially ones that involved nature. It was clear that a simple and powerful logo that represented a message was key.

Native Creative came up with multiple concepts that all had a different approach. Cameron was most drawn to logo concept 1.0 as shown below. This concept was slightly refined, then successfully became the forefront of his brand identity.

Cameron has an obvious passion for what he does which came across in client meetings and over online correspondence. He was eager to create and manage his website himself which is still a work in progress, so instead he seeks branding / website advice from Native Creative where possible and implements it himself.

LOGO CONCEPT 1.0: TREE GROWTH RINGS

This logo concept derived from growth ring patterns within trees, which can be seen in a horizontal cross section cut through the trunk of a tree. Growth rings are the result of new growth and visible rings result from the change in growth speed through the seasons of the year. One ring generally marks the passage of one year in the life of the tree. Focusing on the keyword, “growth”, the tree itself represents a person (Journey of Wellness client), while the rings represent their personal growth during their wellness journey. Along with Cameron's guidance, their achievements create a positive ripple effect when viewed as a whole or from afar (notice ripple pattern within symbol).
